Citizen Forester: Monthly volunteering sessions

Thursday, 5 July, 2018 - 10:00

Our monthly Citizen Forester session will take place in Trafford.

We'll be working on the Trans Pennine Trail between Dainewell Park and Carrington Lane, volunteers will be cutting vegetation back from entrance points and pathways to improve access and site security, creating log piles for invertebrates with any branches that are removed.

Whether you give 1 day, 1 hour or 1 week, by becoming a Citizen Forester, you're spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of planting a tree for every man, woman and child across Greater Manchester.

Session takes place 10am - 2pm; all tools and equipment provided. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Light refreshments are provided.

Meeting point at 10am: entrance to Dainewell Park at Hornbeam Close, M33 5LJ. For those arriving after 10am there will be signs leading from the meeting point to the working area that will guide them there.

There is parking available but where possible if the volunteers can car share it would be helpful as there are limited spaces. Please note there are no toilets on site. See attached for parking (marked with red x’s) and working areas (red arrow) for attaching to the website.

Corporate groups must get in touch before attending - email - SORRY WE ARE NOW FULL FOR CORPORATE GROUPS ON THIS SESSION
