The essential role of green infrastructure in building resilience in the built environment
Over the next 25 years it is expected that around 650,000 houses will be built in the North of England, with £75bn investment planned. This presents challenges as well as opportunities - increased carbon emissions, flood risk and pollution as well as loss of habitats and green spaces where people can unwind.
Putting green infrastructure at the heart of development presents a natural solution to some of these challenges: creating places that are healthier, happier, more environmentally friendly and more attractive for the people who live, work and invest in them.
The event will take place from 8:00 - 10:00 at Trowers & Hamlins LLP, 55 Princess Street, Manchester, M2 4EW. It is £15, or free to Constructing Excellence members.
