We’re recruiting for a number of new volunteers – a great way to get involved with growing more trees for Greater Manchester and beat the January blues.
Assistant Project Officer - Graduate Placement - City of Trees is pleased to offer an opportunity for motivated individual to benefit from up to 3 months’ work experience in the area of community engagement with the community forestry sector. The placement will be carrying out a variety of office, site and event based work and activities.
Assistant Project Officer - i-Tree canopy assessment - City of Trees is pleased to offer an opportunity for a motivated individual to benefit from experience in helping us develop a Tree and Woodland Strategy for Greater Manchester. We need a volunteer to undertake a digital assessment of Greater Manchester’s tree canopy, using the “i-Tree Canopy” platform.
Survey stars: Can you spare 30 minutes before the end of January? - We are looking for home-based volunteers to help with an important project called iTree Eco. An i-Tree Eco survey for Greater Manchester would provide a unique and ground-breaking UK-wide blueprint on how to calculate the value of our trees. We need home-based people to take part in some online survey work - all you need is a laptop or desktop computer! Full instructions and support provided.
Whether you give 1 day, 1 hour or 1 week, by becoming a Citizen Forester, you're spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of planting a tree for every man, woman and child across Greater Manchester.
For more on all our volunteering roles visit our ‘volunteer’ pages. As always we have plenty of opportunities for you to get your hands dirty, planting trees and bringing woodland back into use. Check out the events pages for upcoming activities.
