Staff fundraising

Each year City of Trees spends at least £1m helping connect people to the places that matter to them. As a charity we rely on the support of the local community to continue our vital work. By fundraising for the City of Trees movement you’ll be helping to plant more trees, manage more woodland and get more people connected to nature across Greater Manchester. To see how the money you raise will make a difference, check out City of Trees in action.

We’ll work with you to develop a calendar of events that works for you and your team, so that you have loads of fun while raising cash for a good cause! Here are few ideas to get you started…

In the office
Keep it simple! Run a duvet day raffle for an extra day of annual leave, set up a swear jar or get a sweepstake going to tie in with your favourite competition.

Something social
Great for colleagues, customers, clients or suppliers. Organise a fundraising feast, crown the general knowledge champions in a quiz night or challenge teams to get out and discover their local area in a scavenger hunt.

Seasonal fundraising
Theme your idea to the time of year. Get the mini eggs out for an Easter bake off, hold a spooky Halloween sweet sale or get festive with a Christmas hamper raffle.

Go Green for National Tree Week (25 November – 3 December 2017)
We’ve put together some straightforward office energy saving tips which everyone can get involved with. Going green isn’t just about reducing your carbon footprint though! By getting the office involved in fundraising you can help plant more trees for healthier, happier, more resilient communities. Get involved today!

Take on a challenge
Get sponsored to do push yourself and do something amazing! There are loads of events going on across Greater Manchester, so whatever your fitness level you can find the right challenge for you. You could even turn it into an office challenge – pick an event and see who can raise the most!
