Citizen Forester Tree ID Workshop and Survey at Boz Park, Bury

The Details

Join us for a day of Tree surveying and an ID workshop and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and children.

Time & Location

  • 10am – 3pm, Boz Park, Bury
  • Meet at Tonge Close Basketball Court, Whitefield. ///light.unrealistic.hedge

Parking/public transport

  • Limited residential parking
  • Bus 95 and 97 operate in the area, and the site is a 20 minute walk from the Besses o’th’barn metrolink stop.

About the site

Boz Park is a public park. The area where we will be working has flat ground and muddy conditions. There are hard standing paths around the park but the work will take place off these paths. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
