Join us for a day of tree planting and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
We are planting trees in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency. They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for all ages.
Time & Location
- 10am-3pm. We will start at 10am, please note we may finish earlier than 3pm if all the work is completed. Please arrive as close to 10am as possible.

Parking/public transport
- There is residential street parking around the site. Please be mindful when parking and try to car share where possible.
- The closest bus stop to site is Miles Platting (nr Garforth Avenue) on Butler Street, Stop ID: MANTDTMJ. The bus services 74, 76, 76A and 776 stop here. The nearest tram stop is Holt Town which is a 16 minute walk from site.
About the site
Victoria Mill Park is a public park. The area where we will be working is flat, with some uneven ground in places. The park is accessible by hard standing formal paths. A portaloo will be available on site for volunteer use.
