Woodland Management at Sunnybank Vale, Tameside

Join us for a day of Woodland Management and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!

We will be improving habitats within the woodland for willow tits, the UK’s fastest declining resident bird species. This work will also help to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports other local wildlife and the surrounding community.

The tools we will be using for these activities are: loppers, secateurs, bowsaws, pruning saws and spades. All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults.
