The Details
Join us for a day of woodland management and balsam bashing and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees!
Himalayan Balsam is an invasive species of plant that must be cleared from Priory Gardens.
We are carrying out this work to maintain a healthy and sustainable woodland that supports local wildlife and the surrounding community.
All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for adults and older children because balsam bashing may require the use of sharp tools. If you are interested in bringing young children to this event please contact our team to see how you can be involved.
