Citizen Forester Planting at Foggs Fold, Wigan

The Details

Join us for a day of tree planting and become a Citizen Forester with City of Trees! We are planting trees in response to the climate and biodiversity emergency. They create healthier, happier communities, tackle the climate crisis head-on, reconnect us to our natural world, and provide essential habitats for wildlife.

All tools will be provided; please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work and sturdy footwear. Drop in for an hour or stay the whole day – you will be guided throughout the day so no prior experience is necessary. This activity is suitable for All ages.

Parking/public transport

There is residential street parking, please be respectful and where you can please car share.
Nearest Bus Stop is Millers Lane Stop ID: MANPTATM or MANPTATJ which is about 10-minute walk from the site.

About the site

Foggs Fold is a recreational open space. The area where we will be working has long grass and uneven ground, the site is relatively flat. The paths are ground-trodden dirt paths. A portaloo will be available on-site for volunteer use
