Dementia Friendly Woodland Walks

Join City of Trees and The Woodland Trust for a stroll through the Smithills Estate on the second Thursday of every month

Join us at the Smithills Estate for a leisurely woodland walk, to take in the natural beauty around us. Our Dementia Friendly walks are designed for anyone living with a diagnosis of dementia, their friends, family and carers.

Afterwards, we will head inside to participate in a nature-themed activity and chat over some tea and coffee. We have a different activity each month to match each walk for a chance to use creative skills while socialising.

We have small numbers in our walking groups, so please be sure to book your places. We aim to make your experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible so please do get in touch if you or someone you are attending with has any additional needs.
