Join us for a nature walk around Lees Brook Nature Park!
We will take you on a nature walk through Lees Brook Nature Park, up along the River Medlock to Strinesdale Resevoir. The walk is roughly 3 miles, and we will stop regularly to look at and chat about all things nature!
We will also stop along the way to “bash” and remove the non-native and invasive plant species, Himalayan balsam. This helps to improve the health of the woodland and waterway, and is completely optional! Attendees can join in the Balsam bashing, or use it as an opportunity to stop and enjoy the nature park.
All welcome. Please bring drinking water, lunch, waterproofs and wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty (the walk can be wet and muddy in places!)
