Species Monitoring Project – Nocturnal Bat Survey (1/7)

The Details:

What to expect:

Watch bats in action: Observe bats foraging and commuting in their natural habitat

Learn how to use bat detectors: Listen to different bat calls using bat detectors

Identify different species: Learn to identify different bat species based on call and flight patterns

Whether you are a beginner or wildlife enthusiast, this session will provide you with the opportunity to put your knowledge in to practice and gain hands-on survey experience.

Please note, this session is following up from a workshop hosted on the 25th of February to introduce bat ecology and survey methodology.

It is desirable that you would have attended this before conducting a survey. If you did not attend the workshop, please inform us and contact lizzie@cityoftrees.org.uk or jimena@cityoftrees.org.uk.
