Tree Maintenance at Brocstedes Park in Wigan

Join City of Trees for a day of tree maintenance, giving our young trees at Brocstedes Park some Tree-LC.

Activities we will be completing on the day include:

• Vegetation clearance
• Replacing matts and woodchips around existing trees

This session is suitable for adults and older children. Vegetation clearance may require the use of sharp tools. If you want to bring young children to this event, get in touch.

Location: Brocstedes Park site is a publicly accessible green space in a residential area. The area is grassed over, with multiple small hills. There are no formal paths. A portaloo will be available on-site for volunteer use.

A member of City of Trees staff will greet you at 10 a.m. If you arrive later, please look for our gazebo and flag. You are welcome to join us for part of the day; however, if tasks are completed early, please be aware that the session may finish earlier than advertised.

Transport: The nearest bus stop is: Our Lady Immaculate Church – Stop ID: MANTDPDP. There is residential parking around the site, please be considerate when parking in residential areas and try to carpool where appropriate to reduce parking congestion.
